How it works
The Clothes Line, new from Blue Cross, is the easy way to donate high-quality, designer and vintage clothing and accessories using your own free courier service. It’s secure. It’s convenient. Best of all, proceeds raised go to help pets in crisis.
Everything’s completely free of charge, so you can donate your high-quality clothes and accessories to help pets in need easily and at no cost to you. We’ll send you a special bag that will be delivered to your door.
If you're a UK tax payer, say yes to Gift Aid. It allows us to increase the value of your donation by 25% at no extra cost.
Have a proper sort-out and find those pre-loved clothes and accessories; all those once 'must-haves' of the season, and simply pop them in the bag.
We’re raising the standard of item donation. The Clothes Line isn’t about items you haven’t got round to throwing away; it’s about high-quality, undamaged and clean clothes and accessories that will help us raise money to give pets a brighter future.
It's not difficult, but there are a few guidelines you should follow to ensure your donations reach us in perfect condition:
1. Fill your bag - but please don't overfill it. Once you've donated, you can contact us direct to discuss requesting another bag.
2. Ensure any shoes you're donating are boxed (don't worry if it's not the original box). Bags need to have flat sides, not angles that might rip in transit.
3. Compress any excess air and make sure you can close your bag securely and easily with the seal provided.
Now your bag’s filled with excellent clothes and accessories you no longer wear, you’re ready to book your collection. Because of the high value of the goods in your bag, we’ve selected a dedicated courier to collect them. They’re called Parcel Force.
To arrange a collection that suits you, Please call us on 0300 777 1970.
All of your donations are sorted, steamed and priced in our warehouse, then sent direct to chosen Blue Cross shops to be sold in the usual way. We don't use any third parties, so you can relax safe in the knowledge that you're making a real difference to pets in crisis.
